Volunteer Positions

You may select a volunteer position by visiting our registration sign-up page.

• Finish Line
  Help pass out medals and water and direct runners to post-race area.

• Misc. Support
  This is the wild card position!! If you’re flexible with your role the day of the event, and physically able to stand/lift/be on the move, this is your calling!

• Course Marshal
  We will need folks on the route to help direct runners which way to go, and to occasionally stop traffic. (We will equip you with stop signs, safety vests and cowbells!)

• Packet Pick up (Wednesday, Nov. 27th)
  Want a sneak peak of who’s running this race? We can use help distributing pre-registered runner packets. This is for Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Master (where the race will start and finish).

• Race Day
  Registration assistants will hand out race packets to already registered runners, support day-of registrations, help make sure all participants have signed waivers. (If you need to sit, this is a good spot for you!)

• Food and Beverage Tent
  Post-race tent at the finish line. Assist in food and drink distribution for participants and supporters.

 

Calling All Entertainers! 

We are looking to ramp up our course with musical talent because our participants are asking for more entertainment on the route! If you play an instrument or sing and would like to help make this year's Mighty Gobbler an entertaining event for the runners and walkers, please contact us for more details. (If you are in high school and need community service hours, we can provide you with a certificate for the hours worked!)
